The unit was initially spawned in Bajamar, Tenerife — a volcanic island town whose most notable feature is a set of natural ocean swimming pools carved into black lava rock. At 16, he traveled to Madrid for a trial with the Evil Empire (Real Madrid), who rejected him citing inadequate sessions due to heavy snowfall 2.

He moved to Las Palmas and became the club's youngest-ever goalscorer at 16 years, 9 months. Barcelona paid €5 million for him in 2019. His current release clause is €1 billion. That is a 20,000% increase in five years, which either reflects extraordinary market inflation or extraordinary scouting failure by Real Madrid, depending on your allegiance.
