VC Deal Flow — Week of June 9–14, 2026
SpaceX's historic $75B IPO delivers estimated $50B+ to Founders Fund, $20B+ to Sequoia, and $10B+ to a16z — the week's defining exit. In new checks, Founders Fund leads Endurance Energy's $54M Series A for ocean geothermal power. Plus: Prometheus raises $12B at $41B valuation (Bezos-backed physical AI), Theker's $85M European robotics Series A, Sandstone's $30M LegalTech raise (Sequoia seed backer), Jedify's $24M AI/enterprise round, and Orbio's $21M HR-tech Series A.
The week Founders Fund cashed out $50B — and wrote a new check the same day
SpaceX's IPO on June 12 was the week's defining event for every VC on this list. Founders Fund went public with a roughly 3% stake and an estimated $50+ billion in returns at the $135 IPO price 1; Andreessen Horowitz's stake came out worth over $10 billion, and Sequoia's cleared $20 billion 1. The stock priced at $135 on June 11, opened at $150, and closed at $160.95 on its first day of trading — a 19% gain on a $75 billion raise, the largest IPO in history 2.
Meanwhile, Founders Fund didn't wait around: it also led a $54M Series A into Endurance Energy the same week — one of the more unusual bets in the climate space this year.
Here is everything confirmed from June 9–14, grouped by sector.
Exits and IPOs
SpaceX — NASDAQ debut, June 12
Ticker: SPCX | IPO price: $135 | First-day close: $160.95 (+19%) | Total raised in IPO: $75B | Market cap at close: ~$2T
SpaceX priced 555.6 million shares at $135 each on June 11, eclipsing Saudi Aramco's 2019 record of $24.9 billion raised in a single offering 2. The IPO was oversubscribed four times over 1. Only about 4% of shares are in public float, with the rest held by employees and early investors — which partly explains the price pressure on open-market buyers.
For the top-tier VC funds tracked in this digest: Founders Fund invested $600M in SpaceX over the years and holds a ~3% stake, now worth an estimated $50B+ at IPO price 1. Sequoia's stake is valued at over $20B, and a16z's position is worth more than $10B. Around 4,400 current and former SpaceX employees will become millionaires, and roughly 400 centimillionaires.

New investments — Energy / Climate
Endurance Energy — $54M Series A | June 11
Investors: Founders Fund (lead), Ascend, Construct Capital, Felicis Ventures, First Round Capital, Point72 Ventures, Riot Ventures, Voyager Ventures | Stage: Series A | Sector: Geothermal / Energy
Endurance Energy is a SpaceX-alumni startup betting on submarine geothermal power — drilling at tectonic spreading zones under the ocean, particularly along the Ring of Fire, to access heat sources that land-based geothermal companies can't reach 3. CEO Andrew Redd, who worked on Dragon and Starship at SpaceX, founded the company last year. Twelve of its 25 employees came from SpaceX.
The company's pitch: geothermal is the only deployable, 24/7 baseload renewable, but it's only 0.4% of U.S. energy because the best land sites are already claimed. The ocean offers an untapped resource estimated at 6 terawatts around the Ring of Fire alone 3. The new capital will go toward developing power plant designs, with AI data center energy demand explicitly named as a target market.
New investments — AI / Enterprise
Sandstone — $30M Series A | June 9
Investors: Lightspeed Venture Partners (lead), Mantis VC, SV Angel, Operator Partners, Kearny Jackson, Daybreak Ventures, Litquidity Ventures | Seed lead (Jan 2026): Sequoia | Stage: Series A | Sector: LegalTech / AI
Sandstone builds workflow automation and intake management software for in-house legal teams at small and mid-sized companies — a different market than the law-firm-focused Harvey or Legora 4. Its platform connects Slack, email, and Jira intake channels, routes legal requests, and lets teams build custom workflows for drafting, reviewing, and analysis. The Series A came six months after a $10M seed round led by Sequoia in January 2026.
Sequoia does not participate in the new round but remains a backer from the seed.
Jedify — $24M Series A | June 10
Investors: Norwest (lead), S Capital VC, Cerca Partners, Oceans Ventures, Snowflake Ventures (strategic) | Stage: Series A | Sector: AI/Enterprise
New York-based Jedify builds a "context graph" layer that connects enterprises' internal knowledge — databases, SaaS apps, data warehouses, documentation, Slack messages, and meeting recordings — into a structure AI agents can actually use 5. The company has between 10 and 20 early customers, including The Weather Company, and Snowflake is integrating Jedify's technology into its Cortex AI service. The round brings total funding to $33M.
New investments — Robotics / Physical AI
Theker — $85M Series A | June 11
Investors: CRV (lead), Samsung, Aglaé Ventures (LVMH/Arnault) | Stage: Europe's largest-ever robotics Series A | Sector: Robotics / Industrial Automation
Barcelona-based Theker makes factory robots designed to be reconfigured — their hands, arms, and form can be swapped depending on the task, rather than trained on a single fixed operation 6. Early backer Inditex (Zara's parent) is already a client; Samsung is in advanced discussions as both supplier and customer. The round is the largest robotics Series A in European history, according to the company — a claim TechCrunch says it couldn't find a counter-example for. Less than a year after a record seed, the startup raised twice its original target.
No a16z, Sequoia, YC, or Founders Fund participation confirmed.

Prometheus — $12B Series B | June 11
Investors: Jeff Bezos (personal), JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, BlackRock | Valuation: $41B | Sector: Physical AI / Deep Tech
Prometheus — co-founded by Jeff Bezos and Vik Bajaj (ex-Verily) — raised $12B to build what it calls an "artificial general engineer": software designed to automate the design and manufacturing of complex physical systems, from jet engines to drug compounds 7. This is the company's second round; it launched late last year with a $6.2B initial raise. At $41B, Prometheus is among the most richly valued AI startups ever funded. The company has 150 employees across San Francisco, London, and Zurich.
No a16z, Sequoia, YC, or Founders Fund participation confirmed in this round.
New investments — HR Tech / Workforce AI
Orbio — $21M Series A | June 14
Investors: Dawn Capital (lead), Visionaries, 2100 Ventures | Stage: Series A | Total raised: $26M | Sector: HR Tech / Workforce AI
Orbio deploys AI agents — named Maria, Daniel, and Claire — to handle hiring, onboarding, daily check-ins, and exit interviews for frontline workers in industries like healthcare, retail, and logistics 8. Customers include YUM! Brands (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC) and The Stepping Stones Group, where the company says it now runs the full US operation. The Barcelona-based startup was founded in 2025 by ex-Amazon executive Sergi Bastardas.
No a16z, Sequoia, YC, or Founders Fund participation confirmed.
To watch — unconfirmed
Mistral — rumored €3B raise | June 12
French AI lab Mistral AI is in early discussions to raise approximately €3 billion ($3.5B) at a €20 billion valuation, according to Bloomberg 9. That would nearly double the €11.7B valuation from its September 2025 Series C. No investors are confirmed, and Mistral did not comment. The rumored raise comes as European countries accelerate sovereign AI investments and Mistral has positioned itself as the homegrown alternative to American labs.
