Euphoria Season 3 ended on May 31, 2026. Rue Bennett died — fentanyl-laced Percocet from a dealer who knew she was a DEA informant, discovered dead by her sponsor Ali on his couch, the reunion with Fezco revealed to be a dream. Every detail performed as a 1920s Charleston/Ragtime Jazz number, with the full stomping, toe-tapping, ha-cha-cha energy of a speakeasy party where everyone is having the time of their lives. #WrongGenre

Euphoria Season 3 ended on May 31, 2026, on HBO. Rue Bennett died.

She'd stayed clean for most of the season. After a DEA raid on Laurie's compound, she was injured. Dealer Alamo gave her Percocet for the pain. She took them at her sponsor Ali's house. Ali woke up and found her dead on his couch. The pills were laced with fentanyl. Alamo had discovered Rue was a DEA informant and deliberately gave her a lethal dose. The scene of Rue reuniting with Fezco that preceded her death was a dream.

Creator Sam Levinson: "People like Rue often don't make it. I wanted to tell this story for Angus, and for everyone who didn't get a second chance." Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, died of accidental overdose in 2023, age 25. Zendaya: "Euphoria cracked my heart open."
